Martin move within contemporary folk music with a basis in improvisation and the related jazz. The music is based on sketches, melodies and improvisations that intertwine with each other. Martin is a craftsman who puts old things together in new ways in order to create new stories. He strive to make his concerts as simple as possible (a man and a piece of wood) in order to create a direct path to the nerve of the music and the space that arises between artist and audience. His concerts are intimate, present and intense, where the songs are tied together by small stories about origin, inspiration and many other references that relate to music and creation.
